"Now I can climb stairs much better, I see the difference every day," says Hubert*, 54. For a year, he has been following a sport and nutrition program that made him lose "about 45 kg". He went from 133 to 89 kg, at 1.80 m tall. "I haven't finished yet, my goal is to get down to 83 kg. I also know that the hardest part will be maintaining the desired level," anticipates the Luxembourg resident.
This spectacular result was achieved "thanks to significant changes in diet", with the almost total elimination of alcohol and "chocolates and treats". He also limited bread and is content with "a light cereal-based snack in the morning", while rice and pasta have generally given way to fish, vegetables and chicken. "It took getting used to, but it happens".
"My blood pressure has decreased"

At the same time, he follows regular sports training with a coach, Bastien Miest. "I always start by going to people's homes. I open the fridge and cupboards to assess eating habits". However, he very often finds "foods that shouldn't be eaten", he smiles. Then he draws up a quote and above all a dietary and sports program. "There shouldn't be too radical a change, otherwise people don't stick to it".
The goal is to regain a slimmer figure, but not only that. "I feel better, Hubert continues, just after a weight training exercise. My blood pressure has decreased and my blood values have also improved," he says. "The most difficult thing is perhaps still paying attention when I go to a restaurant. But I have friends who don't drink alcohol, so that helps!".
